February Week 3: INTEGRITY – Taking Action and Being Reliable

"Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn’t blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself, and if you look in there and see a man who won’t cheat, then you know he never will." – John D. MacDonald

At Canadian Black Belt Academy Bolton, we believe that integrity is a fundamental value for success in both Karate and life. This week, we’re teaching our students that integrity is about more than just words—it’s about taking action and proving that you’re reliable.

Integrity in kids’ Karate classes in Bolton means following through on commitments, respecting classmates and instructors, and always giving your best effort. A student with integrity doesn’t make excuses or take shortcuts. Instead, they set goals, work hard to achieve them, and stay true to their word.

Integrity is also about building trust. If others can’t count on you to keep your promises, they won’t see you as reliable or trustworthy. That’s why we teach our students to be dependable, honest, and consistent in their actions—both on and off the mats.

Ask your child:

  1. How does a leader’s action affect their integrity?
  2. Is it important to complete the promises you make?
  3. What are ways you can show integrity to others?

At Canadian Black Belt Academy Bolton, we’re helping kids become strong, confident, and responsible leaders. If you want your child to learn integrity, discipline, and respect, enroll them in our kids’ Karate classes in Bolton today!
